Buy residential property through a Warrant in your Super Fund

An investor paid a small retainer deposit and purchased a residential property in her own name off the plan with settlement in 12 months. It was suggested that she should have purchased the investment through an instalment warrant trust as an asset of her super fund. The trustee can borrow the additional $300,000 to acquire property and this will not count as a borrowing for her.
